These lens mounts are designed to replace the OEM lens mount in laser cutting systems which employ cutting heads manufactured by Laser Mechanisms, including Cincinnati, Laser Cut and Stripit. These lens mounts are available for both 5.0" and 7.5" focal lengths.

The lens mount enables users of Cincinnati and other cutting systems to employing Laser Mechanisms heads to use Lens SaversŪ under high pressure. The lens mount replaces the OEM lens mount.
The mount divides the lens cavity in half to allow room for a Lens SaversŪ window. It also allows the assist gas pressure to pass into a cavity between the Lens SaversŪ window and the lens, which results in the pressure on both sides of the window being equalized. The assist gas passes through holes drilled around the perimeter of the window outside of the optical path of the laser beam. ICL's patent pending pressure equalization method prevents the Lens SaversŪ window from breaking by providing an environment in which the pressure around the windows is equalized.

This lens mount is inserted in a very limited space within the cutting head. To accommodate both the Lens SaversŪ window and the focusing lens, a custom lens is required which has a slightly longer focal length. The longer focal length allows better focus of systems which have a limited focusing range.
